  Susie Storey
Susie is so excited to be involved with Theater Experience of Southern California during this transitional and exciting time. She joined CTE in 1999 as a cast member with her children Alexandra and Zachary. By 2001 she became a member of our choreography staff. Susie brings with her a lifetime of dance training with The Institute of Dance Arts, Jimmy DeFore’s, The Boston Ballet and The Joffrey Ballet. Besides performing with CTE, she has performed in many shows including Grease, The Nutcracker Ballet, Snow White and the Pepsi Cola Dance Invitational to name a few. Susie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA. CTE brought theater and dance back into Susie’s life after a long break while starting a family. She hopes that Theater Experience of Southern California allows cast members to follow their passion and gives them the opportunity to keep the theater arts in their lives. It is the perfect place to share your love of the performing arts with your children, family and community!

Musical Directors
  Sean Paxton

Sean Paxton spent his childhood in rural Sonora, California, where he studied piano, woodwinds, and brass.  Choosing piano as his main instrument, and having a proclivity toward jazz, Sean enrolled at the University of Southern California as a jazz performance major studying with Milcho Leviev and Cedar Walton.

After finishing his degree, Sean spent a year in Glasgow, Scotland, playing in hotels and restaurants and working with the Lothian Gaelic Choir in Edinburgh.

He then returned to California, working in San Francisco with several jazz and pop groups before setting his sights on Los Angeles and a career as a composer and music director.

During the next several years, Sean worked for many theaters in Southern California and around the country.  He has written scores for productions such as the Odyssey Theater's Good Woman of Setzuan for which he received an LA Weekly award nomination, The Greeks, which won an LA Weekly award for production of the year, and Faust.   He has written songs for a production of A Christmas Carol which is produced every December, and  has music directed for theme parks and countless productions including the recent world premier of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

In 2005, the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop selected Sean as a participant, and presented him with the Harold Arlen Award,  a designation for a young composer who shows promise in the field of film music.

Sean has spent recent months writing music for movie trailers and a Japanese feature, Samurai Commando, which is his first full length film score.  In addition to composing, Sean teaches piano, coaches singers, and produces music for corporate events.

  Mitzi Nesbitt
Mitzi has been directing music for 20 years with the Corona Norco Unified School District.  She also has a private studio where she teaches piano and voice.  She has a BA in music/piano and a MA in music, dance and drama for children.  She has written several musicals for children.  She came to CTE in 1996 when her son played the role of Dodger in the production of Oliver.  It looked liked way too much fun and she soon became involved as a music director.  Her goal is that all cast members would find their voice and be able to sing along with the ensemble.  We all come to CTE with different abilities.  Her desire is that all would raise their level of performance and work together to make a stellar show.
