Need some more information?  Here are some Frequently Asked Questions….answered!

What is the Ambassadors Program?
This is a newly created “pilot” program developed for two reasons: 1) To offer the opportunity for advanced training to many of our returning and dedicated cast members, and 2) To help inform the community of the wonderful opportunity CTE has for their kids and families.  All participants will receive intense advance training in acting, dance, vocals, music theory and public speaking and we also have a technical theatre option for those who want to be more “behind the scenes.”

What is the difference between the Ambassadors and the Ambassadors in Training?
While both groups will benefit from intense advanced training, the “Ambassadors” are the official representatives of CTE through performance opportunities in and around the community.  The “Ambassador in Training” program was to give those seriously interested in the theatrical arts the opportunity to learn and work towards becoming an “Ambassador.”

How much does it cost?
The tuition for the 6 month program will be $600 per cast member.  However, since this is the first unveiling of this program, we are offering it at the incredibly low cost of $300 per cast member during our pilot program season.  Consider it an introductory rate for a program you will find worth much, much more.

Are there any additional costs?
There will be additional costs for costumes, outfits, supplies and any travel that may be required.  Cast members and families will be advised of these costs in advance and we are working on fundraising ideas to offset such costs.

When will they meet?
We are looking to meet 3 times a month.  After auditions, we would like to meet with cast members and a parent or guardian to find a schedule that is both flexible and will accommodate everyone’s plans for the summer and during school months.

Will everyone get to perform?
The “Ambassadors” will be the performing unit of the program, while the “Ambassadors in Training” will participate in the training sessions only.  However, we are implementing a “Challenge” program where the “Ambassadors in Training” will have the opportunity to “challenge” or “audition” for a performance spot throughout the program time frame of 6 months.

Who will they perform for?
The “Ambassadors” will perform in community events, local retirement homes, local schools (not during school hours) and CTE events.  In addition, the “Ambassadors” will experience the excitement of creating their very own music video as well as creating a promotional CD vocal recording.

Will I automatically be an Ambassador next season?
No.  Each season of “Ambassadors” requires a full audition.  The program will progress based on the level of that season’s current cast.  Since each season will be different…cast members must re-audition each year.

What is the difference between CTE and Ambassadors programs?
CTE accepts everyone, regardless of experience or performance level.  With each new CTE cast, instruction is based on the median level of experience of the cast overall.  With the “Ambassadors” program, cast members will be trained in an accelerated, intense advance program where they must meet the demands of the program, and not the other way around.

Who is staffing this program?
All staff are industry professionals.  We also will be hosting “Guest Artist Instructors” from the industry to assist our cast members in the different areas of emphasis in theatrical arts.

What is the age limit?
The program is open to Group B, Group C and Adult CTE participants.
